Florence Pi

Director of Operations, StoryEdge LLC

Florence Pi is an operations leader and educator who turns ambitious ideas into programs that run well. As Director of Operations at StoryEdge, she manages day-to-day operations and partnerships, facilitates program strategy and development workshops, and leads the launch of new projects and programs.

Over 15 years, she has built the systems behind growing organizations across education, nonprofit, and startup settings: scalable operations, complex multi-stakeholder programs, and experiential learning models. As Chief of Staff at an enterprise data startup, she built operating systems across people, finance, and events, led vendor negotiations and strategic planning, and helped oversee a successful acquisition. Earlier, at the Institute for Global Learning, she helped design and deliver professional learning for educators in more than 20 countries, owning logistics, communications, and data-informed evaluation.

Her roots are in school leadership. As a founding senior administrator at an international school in Germany, she helped grow the faculty by more than 100% and helped prepare the team to launch the IB Diploma Program. She also directed global and community engagement programs at secondary schools, co-founded an education consultancy, and directed international residential academic programs. She began her career as a secondary science teacher while also designing experiential travel programs and community-based environmental initiatives.

Florence holds an Ed.M. in Educational Leadership and Administration from the Harvard Graduate School of Education, an M.S. in Marine Environmental Biology from the University of Southern California, and a B.S. in Marine Biology from the University of California, Los Angeles.
